Gives You More Crucial Details

A dash cam is only as good as its ability to capture the crucial details in the event of an accident, like license plate numbers. With its 8-megapixel 4K UHD sensor, you're getting 4 times more pixels compared to Full HD. Plus, with its fast shutter speed, details are frozen in place so you just have to zoom in and see it all with clarity.

You won't know how much it matters, until a hit-and-run happens. Don't miss out on crucial details - capture it all in 4K UHD.

Advanced File Compression

With the new High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC/H.265) compression technology, your video resolution will go up, but your video file sizes aren't changing one bit.

This new HEVC technology keeps your 4K videos looking great, while keeping the same recording time & similar file sizes as a regular Full HD dash cam. With the BlackVue DR900S-2CH dash cam, you're getting it all.

Keeps Watch When You're Away

With advanced parking mode technology, your dash cam protects your car, recording videos when it detects movement or impact, even when you're not there. Buffered recording even includes the few seconds before and after the triggered event, so you get the complete picture.

When you own a BlackVue dash cam, you're in safe hands knowing your car is protected. Hit-and-run, accidents, insurance fraud? No problem - always be in the know with BlackVue.

Be in the Know, Wherever You Go

With ultra fast dual-band built-in wi-fi & GPS, you'll know what's happened in blazing speed. Download your footage through 5GHz wi-fi, literally 2X faster than other dash cams running on 2.4 GHZ wi-fi. No more lengthy buffering when you're trying to figure out who (or what) bumped your car. Get location data right through your desktop or smartphone app viewer, all at the touch of a button.

With the free BlackVue Over the Cloud feature, get notified anywhere right through your smartphone with instant push notifications. Get bumped through your vehicle? Get alerted on your phone right away.

Remote live view to see through the lens of your dash cam, GPS tracking, Cloud backup, two-way communication and more.

I did it myself and it is not hard but not easy

I watch a lot of videos on the site and I settled on the DR900 x Plus 2ch. I thought it was going to be hard to install and easy to configure but it was very easy to install and just a little bit difficult to configure.

I have to give black box my car high marks for customer service. If you write to them they write back to you quickly and if you call them you can get through to someone. They try very hard to help you and send you links to videos which are designed to help you.

Liza was very nice to me and helped me a lot. (Thanks Liza)

If all customer services this good the world would be a better place

My car has a 48 V battery that's been giving me problems and I was nervous about tapping into the fuse box. It's a 2021 Mercedes station wagon. I ran the wires up under the top of the windshield, over the a pillar and then under the door rubber to the B pillar and then above the back door rubber and down the side into my station wagon back. There is a cigarette lighter adapter there.

I bought an eight cell battery from the same company and I plugged the cigarette lighter into the eight cell battery and then the eight cell battery into the cigarette lighter in the back of my car.

It works great under parking mode but if I'm going to leave the car a long time I have to remember to turn off the battery so it doesn't go dead. I'm starting to wonder if it matters if it goes dead and I think I'm going to experiment with letting it go dad to see what happens.

It would be much easier if the camera had an on-off switch but that's not for me to say.

The new way of connecting your phone to the camera is really easy. It's easy to walk through you can follow the video that BPM C sends you.

There's all sorts of ways to configure the camera. I had to play with a while but I figured it out and it really helped to watch all of the videos.

The cloud is a whole different issue. Part of the reason I bought the BlackVue is because of the cloud feature that I still have available to get the cloud feature to work correctly. I admit that I'm using a wireless hotspot and the black view company sells their own wireless hotspot but I already have one.

I think I finally figured out (with the help of Andrew and BlackVue) that if you turn off the car and turn off the battery and then turn on the wireless hotspot and then turn the car on and the battery on that it will connect to the cloud. However if you turn on the car and then turn on the wireless hotspot it doesn't seem to work or at least it hasn't for me.

The cloud thing has been very frustrating for me.

I bought the camera in case of an accident so I imagine if I have an accident I will pull the SD card out and have video to show the police or insurance company and even though I can't get the cloud to work I'm confident that the images will be there.

A colleague of mine saw that I had this camera and said to me I wish I'd had this camera because somebody ran into me the other day and drove off and I have no idea who they are.

The order worked as expected. Have not yet tried the dashcam

The purchase was easy and trouble free, arrived on time. Waiting on new car before installing it
