I bought the BlackVue DR750X-2CH because it has the highest temperature rating out of any dashcam. In fact, the rating listed on BlackBoxMyCar is lower than the BlackVue website, which states that the DR750X is rated to -20 °C − 85 °C (-4 °F − 185 °F) operating temperature and -20 °C − 90 °C (-4 °F − 194 °F ) storage temperature. In comparison, the iRoad X1 is rated for -30C to 80C operating and -30C to 90C storage. Most good dashcams are rated up to 70C and cheaper ones are rated even lower. Sure there are other cheaper dashcams, but honestly would you rather buy a cheaper dashcam with lower heat rating and replace it every 1-2 years or just have one high quality BlackVue until you get another car?
I have no problems with the PC software. The app requires you to basically be inside the car for the wifi signal to be strong enough, and it has fewer options in the settings than the PC software. It will work in a pinch but it's better and faster to plug the SD card into your computer to view footage or change settings.
Sure it's more expensive, but build quality and durability are why BlackVue owners choose BlackVue instead of the cheaper brands.
