BlackVue 3-Wire Hardwiring Cable for X and Elite Series

Enable parking recording on a compatible BlackVue dash cam with this 4.5m hardwire cable. It connects the camera to your vehicle’s fuse panel and provides the ignition signal for switching between driving and parking modes. The camera manages its own supported battery-protection settings.

The three connections separate constant battery power from the ignition signal. On this BlackVue cable, yellow BATT(+) connects to an appropriate constant circuit, red ACC(+) to an appropriate switched circuit, and black GND to a suitable chassis ground. Verify the printed wire labels and test the circuits before connecting; other brands may use different colours.

Compatible examples include the BlackVue Elite 8 2CH and DR770X-2CH II. Their settings control parking recording and supported battery-protection limits. The lead itself does not choose a cutoff voltage or timer, and the available settings vary by model and firmware. Check the camera box first because many packages already include a hardwire cable.

Installation requires the correct fuse taps for the vehicle’s fuse type, appropriate fuses and a circuit tester. Those items are separate from this cable. Follow the vehicle and camera instructions for circuit choice and routing, keeping wiring away from airbags and controls. If identifying a suitable circuit is uncertain, have an installer handle the connection.

After installation, test the transition between driving and parking recording and review the camera’s voltage and timer settings. Available parking time depends on battery condition, temperature, other vehicle loads and camera consumption. For socket-powered driving instead, choose the matching BlackVue cigarette-lighter cable.

Does this cable have its own voltage cutoff?

No. It relies on the supported camera’s built-in voltage monitoring and settings. It is not a substitute for a separate controller on cameras that lack that protection.

Can I use it with DR750X-2CH LTE Plus?

No. That older LTE model uses the legacy connection, as do DR750-2CH LTE and S-Series cameras. Newer DR770X LTE and DR970X LTE families use the supported three-wire connection.

What do the yellow, red and black wires connect to?

For this BlackVue lead, yellow BATT(+) is constant power, red ACC(+) is switched power and black GND is chassis ground. Confirm the printed labels and vehicle circuits; do not transfer wire-colour assumptions from another brand.

Are fuse taps included?

No. This cable listing supplies the hardwire lead. Buy the correct fuse taps and fuses for your vehicle separately; the fuse-panel shape and circuit requirements determine the choice.

Which cutoff voltage should I set?

Use the guidance for your exact camera, vehicle and battery. Available voltage and timer choices depend on the camera and firmware, so one universal number would be misleading.

Will parking recording run indefinitely?

No. It can stop when a configured timer or voltage limit is reached, or for other camera operating limits. The vehicle battery has finite capacity and needs sufficient charge for starting.

Is a new cable necessary if my camera already includes one?

Not usually. Check your package before ordering. This cable is useful as a replacement or for a second installation when the supplied lead is already in use.

How do I confirm the installation worked?

Test normal recording with the ignition on, then switch off and check the camera’s parking-mode transition and configured protection settings. Follow the camera’s instructions and seek installation help if the power behavior is unexpected.

What warranty coverage applies?

This accessory has a two-year BlackVue manufacturer warranty, which BlackboxMyCar honors. Our default retailer coverage is six months unless otherwise stated; it does not shorten this product’s two-year manufacturer coverage.

Tiny (26 ga?) wires

I wish there were different sizes of this cable that could be purchased. and that the wires were larger diameter (20 vs 26 gauge).

My camera is going in the rear hatch and the cable appears just about a foot too short to reach. I will have to connect an extension.
