How does the ARC 800 compare with U3000 PRO and ARC 900?
All three Thinkware models offer 4K front recording at 30FPS. ARC 800 pairs this with Full HD rear recording and a 2.3-inch touchscreen. U3000 PRO and ARC 900 offer 2K rear recording with a STARVIS 2 rear sensor and a wider 156° rear view. ARC 900 has a 3.5-inch touchscreen; U3000 PRO uses app control.
Can it record 4K at 60FPS?
No. Front recording is 4K at 30FPS or QHD at 60FPS. The rear camera records Full HD at 30FPS in both modes.
What does parking mode need?
A suitable constant-power connection through the included hardwiring cable or an optional compatible OBD-II power cable. OBD-II compatibility also depends on your vehicle. Choose one parking mode at a time. Smart Parking Mode returns to your selected Motion Detection or Time Lapse mode when temperatures fall to a safe range.
When do Night Vision and HDR work?
AI Night Vision and Super Night Vision are parking-mode features. HDR is available on both cameras in continuous recording mode.
Can the included USB-C cable transfer videos?
No. The included cable is for power only. File transfer needs a separate data-capable USB-C cable, and recording stops during USB-C data transfer. An iOS connection also needs a suitable USB OTG adapter.
Does Wi-Fi give me remote live view?
No. Wi-Fi is a local connection. Remote live view, impact notifications and other Thinkware CONNECTED features need the optional LTE module and an active service plan. They are not included in this kit.
Can I add more cameras?
The optional compatible Thinkware Multiplexer Box supports expansion up to five channels. The box and additional cameras are sold separately; this package includes front and rear cameras.
Is a 512GB card included?
No. The kit includes a 32GB card. It supports compatible cards up to 512GB; larger microSD cards are sold separately.
