Your Ultimate Parking Guardian

Parking anxiety ends here. The ARC900 features Thinkware's most advanced built-in parking surveillance yet, a critical feature for protecting your vehicle from hit-and-runs when you're not around. When hardwired, the dash cam automatically enters a standby mode, using its G-Sensor to detect impacts and its image sensor to detect motion. These events are saved as protected files, ensuring your evidence is secure and easy to find.

For even greater security, the system includes an Energy Saving Mode that drastically reduces power consumption, allowing for significantly longer surveillance durations. You can also add the optional Radar Module, which enables the ARC900 to start recording before an impact, capturing the crucial moments leading up to an incident. This makes it one of the most proactive parking mode dash cams available.

Next-Generation Clarity with Dual Sony STARVIS 2

When you need to identify a license plate or street sign, video quality is everything. The ARC900 uses cutting-edge Sony STARVIS 2 sensors on both its front and rear cameras. The 4K UHD front camera captures the road ahead with exceptional detail, while the 2K QHD rear camera records at a fluid 60FPS to reduce motion blur and provide a clearer view of what's happening behind you.

This dual-sensor technology, combined with Super Night Vision 4.0, provides a massive leap in low-light performance. It brightens dark scenes without overexposing other areas, delivering balanced and usable footage from dusk until dawn. This ensures you get reliable evidence, no matter the time of day.

Effortless Control with Touchscreen and Wi-Fi

The ARC900 is designed for simplicity and direct control. Its large, responsive 3.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen gives you instant access to a live view, video playback, and all settings without needing your phone. For more in-depth control, the built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi provides a fast, stable connection to the Thinkware Dash Cam Link app for downloading videos and managing settings on your smartphone.

This direct Wi-Fi connection is perfect for reviewing footage on the spot. For drivers seeking remote access features like live view from anywhere, impact push notifications to your phone, and video backup to the cloud, we recommend exploring the Thinkware U3000 Pro with its built-in Thinkware Connected capabilities.

Built for Extreme Temperatures and Long-Term Reliability

A dash cam must be able to withstand the harsh environment inside a vehicle. The Thinkware ARC900 is engineered with an integrated thermal protection system and a supercapacitor-based design, making it exceptionally durable in both extreme heat and cold. Unlike dash cams that use lithium-ion batteries, the ARC900 is built to last through countless recording cycles without risk of overheating or battery degradation.

This focus on durability ensures the dash cam is always ready to record, providing dependable, long-term value. Whether you live in the hot climate of Phoenix or the cold winters of Chicago, you can trust the ARC900 to perform reliably every day.

Complete Front and Rear Coverage

This front and rear dash cam system provides a comprehensive view of your surroundings for complete situational awareness. The front camera offers a 147° wide-angle view, while the rear camera covers an even broader 156° field of vision. This minimises blind spots on either side of your vehicle, ensuring that activity in adjacent lanes is captured.

Having a dual-channel system is essential for capturing rear-end collisions, parking lot bumps, and other common incidents that a front-only camera would miss. The ARC900 records both views simultaneously, giving you a complete, undeniable record of events.

If you're new to dash cams, our New Buyer's Guide can help explain the benefits of a 2-channel system.

FAQs

How is the ARC900's parking mode powered?

The ARC900's parking mode requires constant power, which is provided by the included hardwiring cable. This cable connects to your vehicle's fuse panel and has a voltage cutoff system to prevent draining your car's battery. For professional help, explore our dash cam installation services.

Do I need a battery pack for parking mode?

While not required, a dash cam battery pack like the BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8 is highly recommended for extended parking surveillance. It powers the dash cam independently, so it doesn't use your car's battery at all, which is ideal for long parking sessions.

What size microSD card should I use?

The ARC900 supports microSD cards up to 512GB. We recommend using a high-endurance card designed for dash cams, as they are built to withstand constant rewriting. A larger card will allow you to store more footage before it is looped over.

Is the ARC900 difficult to install?

The ARC900 is designed for a straightforward DIY installation, and our installation gallery shows how cleanly it fits in many vehicles. However, if you are not comfortable working with your vehicle's electronics, we always recommend a professional installation. You can contact us for assistance.

Can I switch the front camera to 2K QHD @ 60FPS?

Yes. The front camera can be set to record at 2K QHD @ 60FPS, which provides smoother video and better motion handling. The rear camera will record at 2K QHD @ 30FPS in this configuration.

Does this dash cam have Cloud features?

No, the Thinkware ARC900 does not have native cloud features. Its connectivity is focused on direct Wi-Fi access via the Thinkware Dash Cam Link app. For a fully cloud-connected experience with features like remote live view and impact alerts, consider the Thinkware U3000 Pro, which includes Thinkware Connected.
