Replace a lost cable or set up a second vehicle with an original BlackVue cigarette-lighter power lead. Both offered versions are 4.5m (about 14.8ft) long and connect a compatible camera to a 12V or 24V vehicle accessory socket.

The X-Series option uses the CL-3P1 connection for supported X and Elite cameras, including the BlackVue Elite 8 2CH and DR770X-2CH II. The S-Series CL-2P option serves older cameras such as DR900S, DR750S and DR590W, plus the two older LTE models named in the notice.

For everyday driving, use an accessory socket that switches off with the vehicle. Some sockets stay powered after the ignition is off, so test your vehicle’s behavior rather than assuming the camera will stop recording.

This cable does not contain a battery-protection controller or provide a separate ignition signal. If you need ignition-triggered parking recording on a compatible X or Elite camera, use the BlackVue 3-wire hardwire cable and configure the camera’s protection settings. Some cameras can detect parking from a period without movement when supplied constant power; that does not make an unprotected socket a suitable parking-power setup for every model.

Measure the cable route before fitting it, keep it clear of pedals and controls, and follow the vehicle’s airbag-routing instructions. Do not force a similar-looking plug into the camera. The photo illustrates the cable style; select the correct connector version above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which version fits an Elite or newer X-Series camera?

Choose the X-Series CL-3P1 option for the supported Elite and X models listed in Specifications. Check the full model name because DR750X-2CH LTE Plus is an older exception.

Which version fits DR750X-2CH LTE Plus?

The S-Series CL-2P option. DR750-2CH LTE also uses this older connection. Newer DR770X LTE and DR970X LTE models use the X-Series connection.

Are the two camera plugs interchangeable?

No. Their inner dimensions and electrical connections differ. Select the correct model and never force a plug that does not fit normally.

Will the camera turn off when I stop the engine?

Only if the vehicle socket switches off. Some sockets remain live or shut off after a delay. Check the vehicle manual and test the actual outlet.

Does this cable itself protect the vehicle battery?

No. There is no separate voltage-cutoff controller in this lead. A camera’s own supported protection settings or suitable external parking-power equipment must provide that function.

Can it provide an ignition signal for parking mode?

No. It supplies socket power rather than a separate ACC connection. Some cameras detect parking from lack of motion, while a compatible three-wire hardwire connection can signal the ignition state directly.

Can I plug it into a 24V socket?

The cable supports 12V/24V vehicle supplies when used with a compatible BlackVue camera. Confirm the camera’s own input rating and the vehicle socket before installation.

Does the package include both cable versions?

No. You receive one 4.5m cable in the version selected above. The camera and other power accessories are separate.

What warranty coverage applies?

This accessory has a two-year BlackVue manufacturer warranty, which BlackboxMyCar honors. Our default retailer coverage is six months unless otherwise stated; it does not shorten this product’s two-year manufacturer coverage.

As you can see from the picture, BlackVue 12 Volt Cigarette Lighter Power Cable explain what minimalism is while it has all black color plastic from top to the end. Even the cable is hidden in the roof of the car, however, you could still have the strong sense of how good it is because it use the special material which containing supernatural power from the Universal. It’s a power plug

Even for something as simple as a power plug, which- it works, it’s a power plug, it’s more than that. BBMC really goes the extra mile. They put customer service first and foremost. Replacement OEM cable - great quality

I recently purchased this OEM lighter adapter replacement cable as I had left mine in my previous vehicle that I recently traded. I want to thank you for dealing with my request so efficiently. I actually received the parcel from UPS a day early (being superintendent at a 78 apartment building, I got to know the driver so he brought it to me at the end of his shift) and it was exactly what I ordered. I can now transfer the camera to the Jeep with very little effort, and not using it so often, didn't warrant buying a separate camera for it, the holder and power supply mean I just plug and play. Thanks again, If ever I need something like this, I will be sure to contact you again...

Power Cable for BlackVue

Good replacement value as always. As I mentioned in earlier review, after a couple years of everyday use the power cable line connecting the input to a 12 Volt socket becomes brittle, loose and the wires will eventually crimp and become exposed. After that, the power cable becomes quite sensitive as to when it decides to receive power from the 12V socket. It may work some days and not the next. The inline fuse is always good and has not blown. I also kept the "old" fuse as a backup. In addition, I have noticed that the newer replacement power cables now come with 2 inline fuses. One in the socket connector and one further along the power cable itself. It is alot easier to replace the power cable(s) than try and resolder the loose connections.
