Will any USB-C port power the camera?
No. The power source must support USB-C PD 3.0 and the output needed by this cable. Check the vehicle or adapter specifications; a USB-C connector alone is not enough.
Does the cable support parking mode?
BlackVue’s installation instructions say parking mode is not supported with USB-C power. Choose a suitable hardwire or dedicated dash cam battery connection for parking recording.
Does it fit BlackVue Box cameras?
It does not fit DR970X Box Plus or DR770X Box. Other Box versions must be checked individually; do not assume that a family name or similar plug proves compatibility.
Can I use it with a DR900X or DR750X?
Those families are not on the current USBC-3P supported list. Confirm the exact model with support before ordering.
Why does my camera reboot or fail to power on?
First verify the PD source and secure cable connections. BlackVue also identifies firmware compatibility and multi-port adapters as possible causes. DR590X models may need a specific MICOM update; use the manufacturer’s instructions for your exact camera.
Does the camera always draw 36W?
No. The 36W figure is the cable’s maximum rated output at 12V and 3A. Actual consumption depends on the camera and its operation.
Can I leave a phone power bank in the car?
Do not use an ordinary consumer power bank as a permanent in-car parking power source. Choose equipment intended for vehicle temperatures and follow its installation instructions.
Does this include an adapter or transfer video files?
No. The package is one power cable. It does not include a USB-C power adapter, and it is not a recording-transfer cable.
What warranty coverage applies?
This accessory has a two-year BlackVue manufacturer warranty, which BlackboxMyCar honors. Our default retailer coverage is six months unless otherwise stated; it does not shorten this product’s two-year manufacturer coverage.
