How to Connect to the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App
1. Turn on the vehicle's ignition to put your Thinkware dash cam in Continuous Recording Mode.
2. Open the Thinkware Dash Cam Link app on your smartphone. On the main screen, you will see the option of "Dash Cam Registration". Tap on this option, and the app will search for available compatible dash cams within its range. Ensure to allow any permissions required by the app, and that Wifi is enabled on your phone.
If you are using Basic wifi-only units (F200 Pro)
- Press the Wi-Fi Button to activate it.
- From the camera, you will hear "Connect to a Wi-Fi Network whose name starts with Thinkware"
- Once you hear the verbal message, select Next in the app.
- Go to Phone Settings, then click Wi-Fi.
- Select the Wi-Fi Network with the name 'Thinkware_xx' (e.g. Thinkware_68)
- Enter the default password '123456789' and select Join.
- Reopen the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App and you will hear "Connected to a Smartphone".
If you are using a Bluetooth Dash Cam (U3000/Q1000):
Simply ensure that bluetooth is enabled on your phone, and then hold down the wifi button on the dash cam for 3 seconds until the wifi light starts flashing blue. Then, press the “Bluetooth Connection” button at the bottom of the Dash Cam Link App.
