Thinkware Mounting Tape

Quick delivery, product was exactly as advertised.

Searched in stores for a mounting tape for my dash cam and couldn't find the right product. Glad to find it through BlackBox. It works perfectly.

My windshield cracked and had to be replaced. Ordered this to remount Thinkware unit and it worked just like original

Had to have a windshield replaced in my vehicle, and when they remounted my dashcam, they used whatever in house tape they use, and in less than two weeks, the camera was dangling by the wire. Ordered this mounting tape, had the glass shop reinstall, and no further issues. Even the glass shop admitted it was way better than what they use. Will make sure for any future windshield replacements, that I have this tape on hand.

The items were easy to order and delivered promptly. They needed a bit of trimming for the front camera, but otherwise worked great.

They are cut to the exact size needed to replace the originals.

We tried everything, and then found this tape...it’s amazing and doesn’t the job perfectly

It arrived in Kelowna quickly after I ordered it. Sticks and holds the Camera in place all day long and at night too. Product works great.

While I like the mounting tape, I found my camera hanging when i came to my car on one of the hot summer day. The adhesive literally melted. I am thinking ordering a replacement but am afraid it would do the same. Is there another way I can mount the camera?

web site looks great.. still loads a little slow when my cache is empty...but overall, a very good look

I have had to reapply my dash cam to several windshields. One of the roads I drive on always has rock tracks and I’ve had two broken windshields in the time I owned my dash cam. I recently bought another car and so yet again I must reapply my dash cam. Having the ability of getting new tape is absolutely wonderful instead of trying to pick up something at a hardware store and trim it up and hope that it works. These being the perfect size and the material that has held up very well to heat and cold is nice. In any other company I bet it would be hard to acquire added adhesives. I love my Thinkware F800 camera, and I’m very thankful that I’m able to get additional adhesives for it when I need to reapply. One of the downsides is always the struggle with removing the adhesive. I have found that the only way that I can get it off successfully is using a putty knife and a lot of force to put it between the windshield and the adhesive. Thankfully because of the hardness of glass the putty knife doesn’t scratch it. Once the main adhesives are off I use Goo Gone (That citrus type stuff) and a flat head screwdriver to get the rest of it. You just have to be careful not to put the adhesive or the putty knife against those little black sun shade dots. Thank you so much for selling these adhesives

If you want a product that really does what it says, then this is the product for you. One side has an easy to peel cover (White side), but the other side (red side) is very difficult to remove because of the actual stickiness of the product itself. I had to use an Exacto knife to get the peel started, and even then I messed up the corner trying to separate the peel cover. Also, you must be very attentive and careful to place the glue pad exactly on the Webcam's plastic mounting brackets' rectangular pad area (Red side down).
However the good news is that the product does exactly what it says and does it extremely well.
Keep in mind that anytime you replace your windshield (very often in Alberta) you'll need another one of these. I've done this twice now. Peeling off the old pad to re-use the old bracket is not at all for the faint of heart. It took me half an hour trying different tools to try to remove a seriously stubborn glue pad sufficiently (without any chemicals).

Ultimately a highly superior and quality product that for sure delivers on it's promises. You won't be disappointed in its' performance.

I love my new dashcam. The clarity of the videos on the Thinkware is a lot sharper than Blacksys
