 The Cellink NEO Extended Battery Pack is meant to work as an extension to the BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8 Battery Pack or the Cellink NEO Battery Pack. This will not work as a standalone product.

Input Cables for Installation

PowerCell 8 Hardwire Kit:
Allows the PowerCell 8 Battery Pack to charge at a higher rate of 9 Amps, so it’s able to charge the battery in 45 minutes to full

PowerCell 8 12V Power Cable:
Easier for install, but it charges the dash camera with lower current of 5 Amps, extending the charging time to 1 hour and 20 minutes

Output Cables for Installation

Charge Transfer Connecting Cable:
This cable allows the Cellink NEO Extended Battery Pack to connect to another unit, be it a main battery unit and/or another Extended Battery Pack. This will allow the units to link up and transfer charge to one another.

Female 12V Cigarette Socket Output:
This should be used for BlackVue dash cams and other cameras that switch into parking mode using the G-sensor. These are cameras that switch into parking mode after your vehicle is parked for a few minutes. The BlackSys dash cams can also work with this output method if the 'Use External Power' option is enabled.

Spliced Hardwire Kit Output Harness:
This kit is designed to work with the BlackSys and Thinkware dash cams. The hardwire kit is pre-spliced by one of our technicians so that it will switch into parking mode based on the ignition. Thinkware dash cams will not switch into parking mode if the female cigarette socket is used.

Unspliced 3-Wire Hardwire Kit:
If you already have a three wire (B+, ACC, Ground) hardwire kit, you can splice it into the Cellink Battery B battery pack output yourself. This is a good option for the DIY-ers out there.

It works

It doubled the recording time in park. I came with no instructions. I had to dig around online to find how to interface with the app and how to connect it. I have both batteries in my glove compartment which will be fine in the winter. I'll have to wait to see how summer treats the batteries in there. The app is still broke on Android 14 so I wish they would get that fixed.

A awesome product it does the job of extending the camera on while on Parking mode. The extended battery save your vehicle battery from drainage discharge. I’m able to see my vehicle on live view from the job parking lot with a hotspot Wi-Fi device. An excellent product I highly recommend this cellink Neo battery.

Cellink NEO Extended Battery Pack

Cellink NEO is able to power a BlackSys CH-200 2-CH WiFi Dash Cam for around 20 hours in parking mode. The Extended battery is able to effectively double that time to about 40 hours. Highly recommend it if you want an alternative to using your vehicle's battery for parking recording.

I purchased two of these battery expansion packs, because I leave my car in a parking lot that I can not see from where I live. I have to leave it there for three or four days ay a time. So I was using the NEO pack but it still did not show the car that hit mine because the power cut out after only two days. Now the dashcam will continue for over five days. So for that I am happy for these expansion packs. I guess that the only thing that is a negative is the software App. It is in need of a BIG UPGRADE!!! The App will show what information the NEO has but the information for the expansions does not show, it is like the main unit does not even know that there are expansion batteries connected. This means that you do not know the state the extra batteries. Also it would nice to be able to have some control of the battery from the App. too. I would like to be able to turn the batteries off it I am parked some where that I can see my car. It is lacking any security so any one that is near the car can access the battery data too. All they need is the App. This is a really promising product but it makes the App. function next to useless. For the price of this equipment, one main battery and two expansion packs there should be more thought for the software. After all this is the main reason to buy it.

Excellent product so far with caveat

The Cellink Neo Battery Extension Pack works marvelously as advertised. The only gripe, as of this posting, is the length of connecting cable. Perhaps this is a simple matter of physics and my current ignorance of it, but having a longer connecting cable would have provided more placement options for the battery extension.

Is there any kind of mounting bracket for the CelLink Neo battery and extender? The velcro strips come off whet it's hot. Thank you!

There isn't, but you can use large zip ties or some other kind of strap system to hold them in place without Velcro.

I have a cellink neo 8+. I bought the cellin ext 7+ . How should I connect it please.

The Cellink Ext should connect directly to the EXT port of your Cellink Neo 8+ using the cable included with the Cellink Ext 7+. Simply plug the cable into the EXT ports of both battery packs, and they will work together seamlessly.

Yes, the Cellink NEO Extended Battery Pack can be used in place of the BlackVue 124E. It works when connected to a Cellink Neo, B-124X, or PowerCell 8 battery pack.

I see that there have been upgrades to this product which is great. Is there any chance we can get a wall charger adapter so it can be charged at the house and reinstalled as opposed to the cigarette adapter that came with the power cell 8? My drive to work is about 10 minutes which is not enough to charge the main battery enough for an entire work day much less keeping a cam running 24/7… It would be great if I could just stick a full charged extended battery on in the morning so I could have the peace of mind of the camera working all day. I’m not the only one desiring this use case as I’ve seen others asking similar questions in the comments. If this could be accommodated I’d buy the extension immediately, but as it stands I can’t even charge one battery past a quarter charge by driving alone.

The Cellink Neo Extended Battery Pack must be charged while connected to a main battery pack and cannot be charged on its own. However, you can use a power inverter along with the 12V CLA power cable to charge your battery packs through a wall outlet at home. This setup will allow you to fully charge your battery pack and ensure your dash cam runs all day.

Has there been any consideration made to possibly offering some of the other Egen battery configurations? Such as their Cellink Neo21+ or Cellink C Neo+ and Cellink NeoEXT21?
