How long will it power my dash cam?
BlackVue specifies approximately 30 hours for a single camera using 3W. Runtime varies with camera model, channels, recording mode, Cloud use, USB loads, battery condition and temperature. Check the app's estimate with your actual setup.
Do I have to hardwire the B-130A?
No. Both cigarette-lighter and hardwire input cables are included. The socket method takes approximately 90 minutes for a full charge; the hardwired method takes approximately 50 minutes under suitable conditions. Use a switched power supply that turns off with the vehicle.
Does it work in a 24V vehicle?
Yes, the B-130A supports both 12V and 24V vehicle systems. Its camera output is not a raw 24V feed. Use the correct installation method and manufacturer charge settings for the vehicle.
Which cameras fit the included output cable?
Supported BlackVue cameras with native parking mode include the ELITE series and compatible DR970X, DR770X, DR900X, DR750X and DR590X models. The DR750X-2CH LTE / LTE Plus and older S-Series cameras use a different connection; do not treat the family name alone as proof of cable fit.
Can I use it with a Thinkware or VIOFO camera?
The included output lead is made for supported BlackVue cameras. A different brand needs the correct power conversion, connector and parking-mode signal. Ask us to verify the complete cable setup before ordering; a matching-looking plug does not establish compatibility.
Which app should I download?
Use the main BlackVue app and its BlackVue Battery section. The older standalone BlackVue Battery app does not support this model.
Can I check the battery remotely?
Yes, with a supported paired BlackVue camera connected to Cloud. Bluetooth alone is for local access. The B-130A does not supply its own internet or cellular service.
Can I add an expansion battery?
No. There is no expansion port for a B-124E or Cellink NEO Extended pack. For an expandable setup, compare the PowerCell 8 and its supported expansion battery.
Can it charge in a hot or freezing vehicle?
The specified charging range is 0°C to 45°C. Discharge is rated from −10°C to 60°C. Built-in protection may stop operation outside suitable conditions; it does not override these operating limits.
Can I power another device from USB?
Yes, the USB-A port supplies approximately 5V at up to 2A. Confirm the device's requirements. Powering a phone or hotspot uses energy that would otherwise be available to the dash cam.
Will it fit under my seat?
Check for 152.7 × 206 × 33.6mm of space plus room for cables and ventilation. Keep the pack clear of moving seat rails, pedals and airbags. Fit depends on the vehicle.
What changed from the B-130X?
Both models have a 96Wh capacity. The B-130A package uses a direct battery-to-BlackVue-camera cable instead of the older socket-output and separate three-wire adapter arrangement. Choose cables for the exact model rather than assuming every B-130X accessory is included or interchangeable.
Does it have BlackVue's two-year dash cam warranty?
This battery accessory has a one-year manufacturer warranty. The separate two-year policy for new BlackVue dash cams does not change the battery warranty.
