Multiple Parking Mode Options

Parking Modes guard your car even when you’re not there, giving you peace of mind every day, everywhere. Beyond motion detection, the VIOFO A329 1-Channel also highlights Buffered Parking Mode. This means that when impact is detected, the dash cam will switch to standard event recording, including the 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the collision. Moreover, VIOFO’s parking mode options also include:

  • Auto Event Detection automatically starts recording when movement or impacts are detected.

  • Time Lapse records video continuously at low frames rates to reduce recording size.

  • Low Bitrate Mode continues recording audio and video normally in parking mode, except for using a high compression ratio which allows extended recording times, for example, overnight recording without overwriting the recordings from the previous day.

Note: A VIOFO HK4-C Hardwiring Kit is required to enable parking mode.

Supports Up to 4TB SSD

With compatibility for external SSDs up to 4 terabytes, the A329 dash camera revolutionizes storage capacity in vehicle recording devices. Users can store weeks of continuous footage, making it perfect for extended road trips and daily commutes.

The expanded storage eliminates the common frustration of constant video overwriting and memory management, letting you focus on the road ahead rather than storage limitations.

Must use specific SSD, Limited to 10 min loop

Edit: Viofo support was able to help ultimately. Which SSD is connected made the difference. I tried 2 different SSD's and the camera would freeze when booting with both. Viofo sent a list of specific SSD's that were known to work. I got a Samsung T7 Shield 4TB and it worked. Perhaps this requires an SSD with a very fast read/write speed. I'll update to 4 stars because the sensitivity of which SSD and a limit of 10 min. loop... though that is truly not bad compared to most. I just expected that if I connect a 4TB SSD, I should be able to record entire trips.

The ability to connect an SSD was a huge selling point for this. However, there are 2 issues:
1. There is no option to save all recordings. My SSD is big enough it should be able to save the whole trip. But it limits to loop recording at max 10 min.
2. The camera does not work with the SSD connected. I've had it working with the SSD connected the first time I connected and then the 2nd time, the camera will not boot up. It stays frozen on the splash screen. I drove for more than an hour without it going any further. I've been messaging with support and got it working 1 more time so far and then back to just stopping at the splash screen every time I have the SSD connected. It works fine without the SSD.

I'm still working with support, but am disappointed and losing hope. Even if they can get the camera to work with an SSD connected, a10 min. loop as the best option is still not what I expected for this.
