Recording and image features
70mai lists 2592 × 1944 recording, a 170° view and HDR for the M500. FineVu lists 2560 × 1440 at 30 FPS in front and 1920 × 1080 at 30 FPS at the rear for the GX300. Its Sony STARVIS IMX335 sensor is in the front camera.
The GX300's front HDR can be switched on or off, while rear D-HDR is automatic. FineVu lists its diagonal viewing angles separately: 122° in front and 134° at the rear. It also lists Auto Night Vision for the GX300. The rear camera gives you another recorded view, but these specifications alone do not establish a winner for license-plate detail or night recording. Mounting, lighting and the scene affect the result.
Storage and saving clips
The M500 uses built-in eMMC storage. Its official guide lists 32, 64 and 128 GB versions, so read the camera or box label before comparing one with another. Do not assume every M500 has 128 GB.
The GX300 uses a removable microSD card, with FineVu listing support from 32 to 128 GB. A removable card lets you take the storage out of the camera; built-in memory keeps it in the unit. Choose the access method that suits you, then confirm the compatible card and selected package contents.
Save important footage promptly. The M500 guide says normal, emergency and parking video categories each use loop recording, so older files within a category can be replaced. Capacity figures and event labels do not promise permanent clip protection or a fixed number of recording hours.
Plan parking power
Include the parking-power connection in your budget. M500 parking surveillance and time lapse require a separately sold compatible 70mai parking cable or hardwire kit, with the functions enabled in settings. The guide describes parking mode starting when the cable reports ACC off. Impact-triggered parking recording and time lapse are different functions.

Low-voltage cut-off or loss of power can stop recording. Plan the power connection around how you park; neither camera's parking features promise uninterrupted 24-hour coverage or prevention of damage.

Apps and playback
The M500 connects locally to the 70mai app over Wi-Fi. Its guide requires app activation at first use or after a factory reset. Some album operations stop recording, so confirm that recording has resumed when you finish reviewing footage.
The GX300 has no built-in screen. Resolve its Wi-Fi hardware before you rely on phone access. FineVu's product description says built-in Wi-Fi, while the specifications on the same page list an external dongle. We cannot treat those as one configuration. FineVu describes app playback and a Mac/Windows player. Check the current app, installer and operating-system support before installation. The connection guide below is general FineVu guidance, so match it to your GX300's hardware and app version.
Driver alerts and temperature
The M500 lists lane-departure, forward-collision, moving-traffic and pedestrian/cyclist alerts. Its guide requires ADAS calibration and settings. It describes automatic calibration above 40 km/h, with positioning, light and lane markings affecting calibration.
70mai also lists GPS and GLONASS trip data, including time, speed and coordinates. This is trip information, not live remote tracking. M500 tire-pressure monitoring needs separately sold compatible sensors. Its English-only voice commands are different from a camera speaking status notifications.
FineVu lists front-vehicle-motion alerts when stopped, a driving-rest reminder and speed-camera alerts. GPS reception is required for its listed ADAS and speed-camera functions, and speed-camera support varies by country. Confirm coverage for the country where you will use the unit. Alerts do not replace attention to the road.
Follow the temperature and power instructions for the exact model and revision. The GX300 has a high-temperature cut-off, which can leave a recording gap when it shuts down. That feature does not mean it records throughout any hot or cold weather. Keep ventilation clear and use compatible power accessories.

Does the M500 record in parking mode with its normal power cable?

Does every M500 have 128 GB of storage?

Does the GX300 need a Wi-Fi dongle?
