One of our favourite features on the LG Innotek LGD521 is its WiFi connectivity. The WiFi download speeds are some of the fastest we've seen on any dash cam. To use the WiFi app, make sure to download the "LGD 5 Series" app from the Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS devices. Once it's installed, turn on the WiFi on your LGD521 by holding the multi-key for 3-4 seconds until you hear the chime twice, when you let go it should say "WiFi Enabled".
Go to the settings menu of your phone and look for the dash cam in the list of available WiFi networks. The default password is "00000000" (the number 0 eight times), this password can be changed but we recommend leaving it as the default for convenience and reliability. As the WiFi requires someone to be inside the car to press the button and turn on, the password security is relatively insignificant. Once you're successfully connected to the WiFi network, go to the app and click the "start" button to access the various WiFi features of the dash cam.
There are 5 sub-menus when you click start. Live view is useful for aiming the camera during the initial setup since this camera doesn't have a screen. VOD view shows a list of all the videos on the memory card where they can be viewed or downloaded. Download view shows files that are downloaded to your phone's internal memory for playback. Configuration is where you can change the settings of the device and F/W update is a firmware update option (NOTE: We don't recommend doing firmware updates through this method).
