Thinkware Rear Camera Connecting Cables

Replace a missing or damaged lead between your Thinkware front and rear cameras. Select the connection for U1000 / X1000 and F200 PRO. One cable in the selected type is supplied.

The U1000 / X1000 and F200 PRO cables are nominally 7.5m, approximately 25ft. Measure the route around the windscreen, along the trim and through the hatch before ordering.

Match the cable to both cameras

The U1000 / X1000 option uses the connection and plug orientation for those camera families. It is not the U3000 or U3000 Pro cable. For U1000 Plus or another model not named in the selector, confirm the exact cable with us before ordering. Check the full model name on the camera, including any Plus or Pro suffix.

Keep the rear camera paired with a supported front camera. Replacing a lead does not make a different rear camera compatible or add a rear channel to an unsupported front unit. If you are replacing the camera itself, confirm the supported front and rear pairing with us. A rear camera is not included with this cable.

F200 PRO and a route that protects the lead

The F200 PRO cable has a USB-style plug at one end and an analog plug at the other. Use the dedicated F200 PRO selection; do not replace it with a general-purpose USB charging or audio cable.

A Q200, FA200 or F200 cable is not currently offered in this US selector. Do not substitute the F200 PRO option just because the names are similar. Ask us about the correct connection if your model is not listed. Connect and test both cameras before hiding the lead behind trim. Confirm a rear-camera image in live view and in a saved recording. Leave slack for hatch movement, avoid tight bends or pinched sections, and keep the cable clear of airbag deployment paths. Use the rear-camera installation guide to plan routing. If you are relocating the camera, choose compatible Thinkware mounting tape separately.

Which camera models fit these cable options?

Match the full camera model to the selector: U1000 / X1000 and F200 PRO. If your model is missing, confirm its connection before ordering. U3000 and U3000 Pro use different cables. U1000 Plus is not named in this selector, so confirm the exact replacement with us. Check the complete model name and cable connection before ordering.

How long are the cables?

The U1000 / X1000 and F200 PRO cables are nominally 7.5m, approximately 25ft. These are total lead lengths, not extra length added to an existing cable.

Are similar camera models interchangeable?

Select the exact model family. The F200 PRO lead is listed separately from the FA200 / F200 / Q200 cable; similar product names do not identify the connector. The front and rear cameras must still be a supported pairing. Cable length and connector shape alone do not establish camera compatibility.

Does this cable provide vehicle power?

This is the connection between the cameras. A compatible Thinkware hardwire kit is a separate product for vehicle power and parking-mode installation.

What is included?

You receive one selected cable. The front camera, rear camera, mounting bracket and adhesive are separate.

Can I join leads or use a generic extension?

Use the complete cable approved for your camera system. A plug that fits does not establish correct wiring or signal compatibility. Confirm a supported longer lead if the route is too long.

What should I test before routing?

Connect the supported front and rear cameras and check live view and a recording before hiding the cable. If the rear camera is not detected, recheck the model, connection and plug seating before completing the installation.

Perfect length!

We ended up replacing three micro USB Cables with this and it work’s perfectly for our Tesla Model X. I was afraid it would not be long enough but ended up with roughly 2 feet extra slack.

When preparing to trade my car, I was unable to remove my rear camera cable that was above the headliner because I was afraid of damaging the headliner.

I was able to leave the cable in the old car and purchase an identical cable for the new car.

The right angle micro USB is perfect for my Thinkware F770 front dash cam. It is long enough to reach all the way to the rear of our Crosstrek and have about 10ft of extra slack. I would highly recommend this for any install.
