BlackboxMyCar Windshield Cleaning Kit

The BlackboxMyCar Windshield Cleaning Kit combines three 100mL treatments: glass cleaner, Hydro Shield water repellent and an interior anti-fog spray. A microfibre towel and coating sponge are included, so you can clean the glass and apply the appropriate treatment with the supplied tools.

Clean the glass in front of your dash cam

Road film, dust and marks on the windshield can obstruct your camera's view. The glass cleaner is intended to remove surface grime before you apply a treatment. Use the included microfibre towel and follow the bottle's directions for preparation and wiping.

Choose the treatment for the surface

Hydro Shield is the water-repellent treatment for exterior glass. The anti-fog spray is intended for interior glass, while the glass cleaner removes dirt and film. Keep these roles separate and follow each bottle's application instructions.

Water beading and treatment life depend on application, weather and cleaning. Continue using your wipers and demister as needed. For tinted, coated or plastic surfaces, check the surface and product instructions before applying a treatment.

Three bottles and the application tools

The package contains one 100mL bottle of each treatment, one microfibre towel and one glass-coating sponge. Use the sponge to apply the water repellent as directed on its label.

What comes in the kit?

Which product cleans the windshield?

Use the Glass Cleaner for dirt and surface film, following its label. Hydro Shield and Anti-Fog have different treatment roles; they do not replace the cleaning step.

Where should I use the anti-fog spray?

It is intended for interior glass. Check the bottle and surface-care instructions for any restrictions, particularly on tint, coatings or plastics.

Is Hydro Shield the same as Aqua Shield?

No. Hydro Shield is the liquid water-repellent treatment included here. Aqua Shield is a separate exterior windshield film that uses its own installation process.

Does the water repellent replace the wipers?

No. Continue using the vehicle's wipers and demister whenever conditions require them. The treatment is intended to help water bead on prepared exterior glass.

Can I use this on the dash cam lens or screen?

The kit is intended for vehicle glass care. For a camera lens or screen, use the camera manufacturer's approved cleaning method rather than assuming a windshield treatment is suitable.

Do I need to buy a towel or applicator separately?

No. A microfibre towel and coating sponge are included. An extra towel can be useful for a separate cleaning job.

I realy like how easy it is to wipe grime and bugs off my windshield with this kit! Works even better than I imagined. If only the price was a doller or two lower, it’d be a perfect 5 stars for me. Still worth it for its results!

It WORKS

Decent Kit, Room for Improvemet

The kit works like promised, especially with the anti-fog spray. Drives in bad weather feel much safer. Only complaint is the sponge felt stiff on the first use. But still great value for what it does.

Good, But Small Issues

Got it last week, and it does cleen super well. The anti-fog sprey really helps, especially in humid mornings. I wish more microfiber towels were included, tho. At this price, it's a good buy but could be even better with extras!
