Add a BlackboxMyCar logo or dash-cam message to your vehicle with this two-decal pack. The assortment includes the wordmark, “REC Dash Cam in Action,” the round “Protected by Dash Cam” design and the gauge icon. Each pack contains two decals, not all four designs.

Check the design dimensions below before choosing a position. Our photos show examples on vehicle glass. Prepare a clean, dry surface and leave at least 24 hours after application before washing the vehicle or exposing the decals to harsh weather.

The “REC Dash Cam in Action” decal gives a clear message in a horizontal design, while the wordmark is a slimmer option. The round badge and gauge icon suit a different shape of space. Measure the intended area using the dimensions in Specifications before peeling the backing.

To ask about a specific pair, contact us before ordering and name the designs you want. Confirm availability with our team rather than treating a photo as the guaranteed pack contents. Otherwise, the two decals are chosen at random.

Prepare the surface and apply gradually

Clean the area with a mild automotive cleaning solution suitable for that surface, then dry it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or clean microfibre towel. Dirt, dust and wax can affect adhesion. Position the decal first and use a ruler or tape measure to check alignment.

Peel the backing slowly and work from one edge to the other, smoothing the decal with the separately sold BlackboxMyCar Vinyl Scraper. Remove the transfer tape carefully after the decal has adhered. Keep the finished decal clear of the driver’s view and any camera lens.

Let the decal cure for at least 24 hours before washing or exposure to harsh weather. The step-by-step instructions below explain the backing and transfer-tape sequence.

How many decals are in the pack?

Two assorted decals are included. The four designs pictured show the assortment; one pack does not include all four.

Can I choose my two designs?

For a specific pair, contact us before ordering to confirm what is available and how to request it. Otherwise, the decals are selected at random.

How large are the decals?

The wordmark is 15 × 1.5cm, REC Dash Cam in Action is 15 × 2.95cm, the round badge is 8cm across, and the gauge icon is 10 × 6.2cm. Measure your intended area before application.

Is the vinyl scraper included?

No. The BlackboxMyCar Vinyl Scraper is sold separately, as are cleaning tools. It helps apply even pressure while you work across the decal.

Do I remove both the backing and the transfer tape?

Yes, at different stages. First remove the backing while keeping the decal together on its transfer tape. Apply and smooth the decal onto the prepared surface, let it adhere for a few minutes, then carefully peel off the transfer tape.

How long should I wait before washing the vehicle?

Allow at least 24 hours for the decal to cure before washing the vehicle or exposing it to harsh weather.

What should I do before applying a decal?

Clean and dry the surface, check the dimensions and alignment, and keep the chosen position clear of the driver’s view and camera lenses. Use a cleaning product suitable for the surface and avoid applying over dirt, dust or wax.

How to apply the decals

  1. Clean and dry: remove dirt, dust and wax with a suitable mild cleaning solution, then dry with a lint-free cloth.
  2. Check placement: hold the decal in position and use a ruler or tape measure to check alignment.
  3. Remove the backing: peel slowly from a corner while keeping the decal attached to the transfer tape.
  4. Apply and smooth: start at one edge and work across with firm, even pressure using a vinyl scraper.
  5. Peel the transfer tape: after a few minutes, remove it carefully while leaving the decal on the surface. Inspect the edges and gently smooth any loose areas.
  6. Let it cure: wait at least 24 hours before washing or exposure to harsh weather.
