Overview

Signature Bundle: VIOFO A129 Plus Duo + BlackboxMyCar BI-750 Dash Cam Battery Pack

The A129 Plus Duo is the Best Budget-Friendly 2K QHD of 2020.

The A129 Plus is one of the most anticipated dash cam systems of the year, bridging the gap between the A129 Duo Full HD and the A129 Pro Duo 4K dash cam systems. The A129 Plus offers 2K QHD 1440p recording at 30FPS with the option to upgrade to 2K QHD at 60FPS and QHD+ 1600p at 30FPS. Day time and night time video quality is excellent thanks to the 5MP Sony STARVIS image sensor. And just like all the other VIOFO dash cams, the A129 Plus is equipped with a 2.0" high-definition screen, a user-friendly button interface and an external GPS antenna that is built into the adhesive mount.

Our Signature Bundle includes all of the installation tools needed to complete setup the dash cam with the BlackboxMyCar BI-750 Battery Pack, a 96Wh/7500mAh battery that gives you 25% more power and runtime than the industry-leading Cellink NEO Battery Pack.

Also included in this bundle is a 128GB card, enough to hold over 6 hours of continuous front and rear recordings on the High bitrate setting, or over 9 hours of continuous front-and-rear on the Normal/Medium bitrate setting.

For those looking for more, select an optional radar camera for the added protection from traffic cameras and hazards.

Best budget dual channel camera, period!

After extensive research online I went with this product. Excellent, crisp video quality, so couldn't ask for more in this price range.
Have recommended couple of my friends already to buy this, and I am myself planning to buy another set for my 2nd car.

Viofo A129 Plus Duo

Already installed temporarily using plug-in power supply and been using for about 2 weeks now. Installing the front camera is fairly easy under the rearview mirror pillar (as recommended by the dealer) and careful not to place it along nor touch the Outback's EyeSIght's periphery or line of sight.
I had difficulty installing the rear camera. The vehicle is a 2020 Outback and has no ideal spot along the rear window that will not be a distraction and yet provide the best coverage. The initial place was the middle of the headliner but the edge of the headliner tapers upward and the camera does not adjust low enough orientation to catch the sweet spot of the road, When placed on the headliner, it focuses on the sky and top of the vehicles behind. Only if there were 2 more clicks downward it would have been ok. Anyway, ended up installing it on the upper right side of the rear window and able to get it oriented as best it allows. Wiring it back to the front was a bit more work as the rear camera wire is thicker compared to others that I had installed before but I got them hidden as much as I can.

So far, I find the unit working as expected and the footage I reviewed for both cameras is great during the day, and average during the night for the rear(pixelated if not enough street lights. License plates of vehicles in front become unreadable at stop lights because of the headlight glare but becomes readable when the glare disappears or the front vehicle moves.

I set the G-sensor at the highest setting but so far it has not been activated yet as far as I know. I have the sounds setting at Start Only. Wondering if it is working. Not sure if there's some kind of alerts when it is activated . My other car's unit's (different brand) sensor is more sensitive and sounds off when it is activated every time the car hits the entrance of my garage. Perhaps BBMC can sound of on this and provide more insight on to this.

Overall, my 2 weeks' experience with the Viofo A129 Plus duo is above average. more pros than cons, and will update when I get to hardwire it. Looking forward to using more of the features as soon as I have it hardwired professionally or maybe by me when I get to build up the confidence to do it.:)
