How this Bluetooth connectivity feature makes pairing easy
We love how the Thinkware U3000 has been making a buzz in the whole dash cam community right now, and we too are excited to totally maximize the smartest features of this baby. It’s definitely a game-changing dash cam, and we can say that there’s no other dash cam brand that has jam packed features like the U3000’s.
A lot of firsts for this one – the first Thinkware to have the 8MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 technology, the first to sport the Super Night Vision 4.0 feature, the first to have the built-in radar sensor, and the first ever dash cam to have a built-in Bluetooth connectivity feature.
Now, you may be thinking, a lot of dash cams already have Bluetooth in their units, right? Then what makes this Thinkware different, and the first?
Previous Thinkware models like the U1000, as well as other dash cams, are entirely reliant on Wi-Fi for connectivity. This implies that you must first complete registration and setups before you can get started.
Now, with built-in Bluetooth connectivity, the Thinkware U3000 now makes connecting easier. This enables the same seamless pairing seen with the Thinkware Q1000 not long ago, while connecting to the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App via a compatible Android or iOS device. Although this time, even more hands off!
Problems connecting the app and dash cam are a common complaint about dash cams, and we are pleased to see that Thinkware has resolved the issue with this U3000 feature. Plenty of older models would have you manually connect to the wifi network of the camera in the settings of your phone, before returning to the app. A right hassle.
The Thinkware U3000’s Built-in Bluetooth allows hassle-free dash cam pairing with your compatible Android or iOS device via the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App.
The Thinkware Dash Cam Link App is where you get to watch your parking mode footage, download your videos, share it on your social media, and configure the dash cam settings. If you wish to use the Cloud of the U3000, the app to use is Thinkware CONNECTED, although you still have to use the Thinkware Dash Cam Link first before registering there.
Apart from viewing videos, the Thinkware U3000’s built-in Bluetooth quick pairing also helps in connecting to the device for a more convenient configuration of the settings.
If you wish to update your U3000’s 4K @ 30 frames per second to 2K @ 60 frames per second, activate ADAS and Safety Camera Alerts, switch to Energy Saving parking recording, and more, you no longer have to worry about connecting to the Wi-Fi to go over these.
Clearly, with Thinkware U3000’s built-in Bluetooth, connection is a lot quicker than before. In fact, after registering the dash cam on the app, the U3000 already connects automatically without having to enter a separate ID or password. You just make sure that your phone is not currently paired to another Bluetooth device before you connect.
Beyond this, the Thinkware U3000 also allows you to check on recently recorded parking activity, noting how many incidents of each type were recorded at which times, before switching over to the quicker wifi to watch the video themselves.
On the other hand, while this feature is highly useful, you can still use the Thinkware U3000’s dual-band capabilities for heavier tasks, such as streaming your dash cam footage in 4K UHD video quality.
The Thinkware U3000 is 2023’s smartest, most feature packed dash cam to date. With its Sony STARVIS 2 image technology, Super Night Vision 4.0, Multiple Parking Mode features with Energy Saving and Smart Parking, dual built-in RADAR sensors, ADAS and Safety Camera alerts, built-in GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, built-in Bluetooth, and Thinkware CONNECTED features, get maximum functionality while keeping things hassle-free!
