BlackboxMyCar Monthly Dash Cam Video Contest

Contest Details

We’re always looking for content to share with our YouTube subscribers, customers, and fans. If you have interesting dash cam footage you’d like to share on our channel, send your submissions to info@blackboxmycar.com. If your video is chosen as the dash cam video of the month, you’ll win a prize - it’s as simple as that! Even if your video isn’t chosen for the specific month that you submit it in, we’ll hang onto the video and keep you in the running for subsequent monthly contests.

By submitting a video, you are giving us the rights and permission to share the video on our channel as well as other platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook). You are also asserting that you are the rightful owner of the content - videos stolen from other content creators will not be eligible for our contest prizes. Raw video files are preferred but if you need to edit your video due to a conversation or other sensitive material, feel free to do so. If there is any music in the background we will most likely mute it to avoid any copyright issues.

What sort of content are we looking for?

For our dash cam video contest, we want something that our fans will find interesting and worth sharing. This can range from dramatic accident footage, something funny/amusing, or just something visually intriguing. Content that we find to be obscene may be deemed inappropriate and not be eligible for the contest. Higher resolution video and footage captured on one of our dash cams may have a better chance of winning the contest. It will also be helpful to provide a bit of backstory to the video you are submitting.

Who is eligible to enter the contest?

Our contest is open to all dash cam users and is not exclusive to our customers. That being said, only contestants from Canada and the United States will be eligible for prizes.

How will I know my submission has been entered?

We will reply to your email submission noting that your video has been received.

What is the best way to send in a video?

Cloud file sharing services such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Mega are recommended for sharing raw files. If the video is fairly short, you might also be able to attach it in an email.
