Will this fit every Thinkware dash cam?
No. This standard filter is excluded for U3000 Pro, U1000 Plus, ARC 900 and ARC 700. Use the filter specified for those cameras. Check the exact model rather than choosing by brand alone.
Does it fit the original U3000?
Yes. The original Thinkware U3000 uses the standard filter. Do not confuse that model with U3000 Pro, which needs its own specified filter.
Will it remove all glare?
No. It can reduce polarized reflections, including dashboard reflections in the windshield. Lighting angle, glass and installation affect the result, and some glare can remain.
How should I align it?
Clean the lens, remove the protective film and keep the guide points vertical. The crescent-shaped adhesive pads face the camera lens. Follow the Thinkware installation video in Resources and check the camera view.
Can a CPL filter make night footage darker?
Yes. A polarizing filter reduces some incoming light. Check your recordings in the conditions you drive in, especially at night, instead of assuming every scene will improve.
Does the package include two filters?
No. It includes one CPL filter, a cleaning cloth and a quick start guide. A camera and any additional filter are separate.
Is this a windshield film?
No. This filter attaches to a compatible camera lens. It does not cover the windshield or repel rain from the glass.
Do I need one if my dash cam already came with a filter?
Check the included filter first. This product can replace a missing or damaged compatible standard filter; there is no need to stack it over another CPL.
