Thinkware Interior Infrared Camera: Full HD Cabin Recording

Add a cabin view to a compatible Thinkware dash cam with this Full HD 1080p infrared accessory. It records at 30FPS and uses 940nm infrared illumination for low-light interior recording, with a 160° diagonal view.

This is an add-on camera, not a standalone recorder. It sends video to the compatible front dash cam, which handles recording and storage. A 0.5m camera cable is included; the front dash cam and any required adapter are separate.

Plan a clear view of the cabin

Mount the camera inside with a clear line of sight toward the cabin. Infrared lighting helps in very low light, while daytime footage is recorded in color. Seats, passengers and vehicle trim can still block parts of the view, so check a recording before finalizing the position.

The included 0.5m cable suits a nearby connection to a supported front camera. On Q200, F790, F200 PRO, X800 and X700 systems, the ordinary add-on connection supports a rear camera or this cabin camera, not both at once. For example, adding it to a Q200 front-and-rear kit through that connection replaces the rear view. For simultaneous cabin and rear or side views, plan a compatible Thinkware Multiplexer system and its matching camera and front-camera cables. Additional views share the multiplexer's composite recording. Confirm the complete connection for the exact dash cam rather than assuming every Thinkware cable fits.

Can this camera record on its own or add Cloud features?

It needs a compatible Thinkware front dash cam to record and store its video. This accessory adds a cabin viewpoint; it is not a separate Wi-Fi camera or recorder. Connectivity, recording modes and storage remain features of the compatible front dash cam.

Which dash cams are compatible, and are adapters included?

Thinkware lists Q200, F790, F200 PRO, X800 and X700, with U1000 Plus and Q850 supported through the matching adapter. Check the exact host model and cable before installation; similar product names do not establish compatibility. In our current package, the matching 0.3m adapter is sold separately. Some manufacturer packages list an included adapter; that is not the bundle supplied here.

Can I record both cabin and rear views?

On the listed Q200, F790, F200 PRO, X800 and X700 direct connections, the front unit supports one add-on camera: rear or cabin. To record several extra views at once, use a supported Multiplexer setup and its required cables. Match the Multiplexer-to-front-camera cable and accessory connection to your exact system. Thinkware lists a specific Multiplexer Box Cable for U1000 Plus configurations; it should not be assumed to come with this camera.

Is this the cabin camera for U3000 PRO?

This is not the dedicated U3000 PRO cabin-camera model. Choose the accessory specified for that dash cam rather than using this listing as a substitute.

What happens in a dark cabin?

The camera uses 940nm infrared illumination to help record nearby cabin detail in low light. Daytime footage is in color. Results depend on mounting position, obstructions and distance; the wide view does not guarantee every seat is visible.

Where can I mount it, and how long is the cable?

This model is intended for the vehicle interior. Choose a camera explicitly rated for exterior mounting when recording outside the cabin. The camera cable is 0.5m, approximately 1.6ft. Measure the proposed route before mounting, and use an extension or adapter only if it is specified for the exact system.
