BlackVue ELITE 10-2CH: 4K Front and Rear Dash Cam

The BlackVue ELITE 10-2CH records 4K UHD at 30FPS from both the front and rear cameras. Both use Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, with HDR on the front camera. Choose this kit when you want a 4K rear view as well as 4K detail ahead.

The package includes a 64GB microSD card, hardwiring cable, USB-C power cable and vehicle adapter. Built-in GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi and the BlackVue app help you find and save recordings. This new BlackVue dash cam has a two-year warranty.

A 4K view in both directions

Both cameras record 3840 × 2160 video at 30FPS through 146° diagonal lenses. The rear camera captures the view through your rear window. The manufacturer’s Hong Kong sample shows the front view in daylight and after dark.

Front HDR balances bright and dark areas. The rear camera records 4K without HDR. If you prefer HDR on both views and can accept a 2K rear camera, compare the BlackVue ELITE 9.

See the front and rear night samples

Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors are used in both cameras. BlackVue’s nighttime sample lets you compare their views on the same journey, including street lighting and approaching headlights.

Readable detail depends on motion, light, distance, mounting and windshield condition. Online video also adds compression. Check original files from your installation, and keep the lenses and glass clean. An optional BlackVue CPL-2 front filter can reduce dashboard reflections; it is sold separately.

Use less power between parked impacts

Power Saving mode puts the dash cam into standby and wakes it when an impact is detected. BlackVue specifies less than 1mA at 12V while waiting. Consumption increases when the camera wakes to record, and connected accessories draw their own power.

This mode has no pre-impact buffer. The manual specifies recording begins within about two seconds after detection. The demonstration shows that wake-up process; it is different from continuously recording everything around the vehicle.

The included hardwiring cable supports parking recording. To power the camera from a separate battery, consider the BlackVue B-130A with the compatible connection. Runtime depends on available power, detected events, settings and temperature.

Choose a buffered mode when earlier activity matters

Motion Detection mode keeps a video buffer and saves relevant activity when movement or an impact is detected. Buffered events include ten seconds before the trigger. This helps when you need to see what happened before contact, rather than only what happened afterward.

Time Lapse records one frame per second for an accelerated overview. Both modes use more power than impact-only standby. Set the parking timer and voltage cutoff for your vehicle; those limits can stop recording before a battery is empty.

The operating range is −20°C to 65°C. A separate thermal cutoff is specified at about 75°C. That cutoff protects the camera; it does not extend the stated operating range or ensure uninterrupted recording in a hot parked vehicle.

Check recording when you start the vehicle

BlackVue’s cold-start demonstration shows the ELITE powering on for driving. Cold startup and wake-up from Power Saving standby are different processes. After installation, confirm the recording indicator and review a saved front and rear clip.

Built-in GPS and the G-sensor can mark impacts, hard acceleration, braking, cornering and speed events, depending on enabled settings. The touch sensor can start a manual recording. Adjust sensitivity for your vehicle so routine bumps do not generate excessive event files.

Install for a clear view and the right power mode

Position the front unit near the mirror without blocking your view. Attach the rear camera to clean glass, route the supplied coaxial cable safely and check the saved image before securing the cable. The installation photo shows the mounting style.

The USB-C power cable and vehicle adapter provide driving power. BlackVue’s manual states that this connection does not support parking mode. Use the included hardwiring cable or a compatible battery installation when the engine is off.

For help with fuse selection and cable routing, see our dash cam installation guides. Keep both cameras clear of anything that blocks their view, including rear defroster lines where possible.

Connect nearby or add remote Cloud access

Dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi connects the camera to your phone for live view, settings and downloads. Bluetooth supports pairing, while GPS and GLONASS provide location data. Nearby app access does not require a cellular subscription.

Remote Cloud access needs internet at the camera through a compatible hotspot or the optional BlackVue CM100G LTE module. Match the module and SIM to the supported regional network. Hardware, data service and any paid Cloud plan are separate purchases.

Remote live view, alerts and uploads depend on power, connectivity and settings. Power Saving sleeps between impacts, so choose a continuously powered recording mode when ongoing remote access matters.

Balance image quality and recording history

The supplied card is 64GB; compatible BlackVue microSD cards up to 1TB are supported. H.265 and H.264 save MP4 recordings. The highest H.265 setting uses up to 60Mbps in front and 30Mbps at the rear, so storage fills faster than at lower quality settings.

BlackVue’s recording-time table estimates about two hours on 64GB or 34 hours 20 minutes on 1TB at the default High setting. These are dual-channel reference figures, not guaranteed retention times. Your settings and parking activity change the result.

Loop recording replaces older files. Up to 50 event files can be protected from normal overwrite, but formatting still erases them. Download important originals to a separate device. Check our dash cam memory-card options for replacements and follow BlackVue’s compatibility and formatting guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are both cameras 4K?

Yes. The front and rear each record 3840 × 2160 at 30FPS with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors. There is no interior camera in this kit.

Does the rear camera support HDR?

No. HDR is supported on the front camera only. The rear records 4K without HDR. The ELITE 9 is an alternative with 4K front, 2K rear and HDR on both views.

Is the hardwiring cable included?

Yes. This BlackboxMyCar ELITE 10 kit includes a hardwiring cable, USB-C power cable and vehicle adapter. The appropriate fuse connections depend on your vehicle.

Can I use USB-C power for parking mode?

No. The manufacturer’s manual states that the USB-C connection provides driving power without parking-mode support. Use the included hardwiring cable or a compatible battery pack for parking recording.

Does Power Saving capture the seconds before an impact?

No. It sleeps until an impact is detected and then starts recording, within about two seconds according to BlackVue. Choose Motion Detection with buffered event recording when preceding activity matters.

What does the below-1mA figure mean?

It is the standby consumption at 12V in Power Saving mode, not the power used while recording. Wake-ups, connected accessories and the chosen power source affect total runtime.

How long will it record while parked?

There is no single duration. Available battery capacity, cutoff settings, temperature, detected events and recording mode determine runtime. A separate battery pack can keep this draw away from the vehicle’s starter battery.

What is Time Lapse parking mode?

It captures one frame per second for an accelerated review of the parked scene. It runs continuously and uses more power than impact-only standby.

Is cellular connectivity built in?

No. Use a compatible Wi-Fi hotspot or add the separate CM100G LTE module. Cellular service needs a supported SIM, carrier and data plan.

Can I use the app without paying for Cloud service?

Yes. Nearby Wi-Fi access supports viewing, settings and downloads without cellular service. Remote Cloud access needs internet at the camera, a BlackVue account and the appropriate service plan.

Which memory card is included?

A 64GB microSD card is included. The camera supports compatible BlackVue cards up to 1TB; the supported maximum is not the supplied capacity.

How much footage fits on the included card?

BlackVue estimates about two hours of dual-camera recording on 64GB at the default High setting. Higher bitrate settings retain less footage. Recording activity and settings affect actual history.

Should I use H.265 or H.264?

H.265 is an efficient compression option and supports the maximum front bitrate. H.264 is available for playback compatibility. Check a downloaded sample on your computer or phone before choosing a setting.

Are protected event files permanent?

No. The camera can protect up to 50 event files from normal overwrite, but formatting deletes them. Export important recordings and keep a separate backup.

Can the camera keep recording in extreme heat?

It can stop recording to protect itself. The operating range ends at 65°C, and the thermal cutoff is approximately 75°C. A cutoff temperature is not a continuous-use rating.

What warranty comes with this kit?

This new BlackVue dash cam has a two-year warranty. Refurbished dash cams have the separate 12-month warranty policy.

The LTE module, nano-SIM/data plan, CPL filter and battery pack are sold separately.
