Don't wait around for power. When you hardwire the unit to your vehicle's fuse box (11A input), the BP100 Battery Pack charges from 0% to 100% in just 70 minutes. Even short daily commutes are enough to fully replenish the system, ensuring you always have maximum protection when you park.

For a simpler, plug-and-play installation, you can connect it via the cigarette lighter socket (6A input), achieving a full charge in approximately 100 minutes. The intelligent charging system works automatically while you drive, requiring no manual intervention.

  • The VIOFO BP100 Battery Pack can only support a maximum of two EP100 Expansion Packs.
  • The included Hardwire Output Cable (Type-C) is only compatible with USB-C-powered VIOFO dash cams. If you have a Mini USB-powered VIOFO dash cam or a non-VIOFO dash cam, you will either need to use the included Hardwire Output Cable Adapter in conjunction with a compatible hardwire cable or purchase a compatible output cable here.
  • The input and expansion connectors on the VIOFO BP100 are not compatible with BlackVue, BlackboxMyCar, Cellink or Thinkware battery pack cables.

FAQs

Is the BP100 compatible with non-VIOFO dash cams?

Yes. While optimized for VIOFO models like the A329S, A229 Pro, and A229 Plus, the BP100 Battery Pack provides a standard 12V output that works with virtually any dash cam brand, including BlackVue and Thinkware.

How do I install the battery pack? You have two options:

  1. Hardwire: Connect it to your fuse box for the fast charging speed (70 mins).
  2. Cigarette Lighter: Plug it into your car's 12V socket for an easy, tool-free installation (100 mins charging). Both cables are included in the box. For detailed guides, visit our Dash Cam Installation Hub.

Does it have a USB port?

Yes. The unit features a USB Type-C port (5V / 3A). This allows you to charge smartphones, tablets, or even power a Wi-Fi hotspot device, adding extra versatility to your dashcam setup.

Is it safe to leave in a hot car?

Yes. The LiFePO4 battery chemistry is specifically chosen for its ability to withstand high temperatures safely. However, we recommend installing the unit out of direct sunlight, such as under a seat or in the trunk, to ensure optimal performance.

How do I check the battery level?

Simply download the VIOFO Battery App (available for iOS and Android) and connect via Bluetooth. You can view the precise charge level, charging status, and estimated remaining time.

Can I chain multiple batteries together?

Yes. The BP100 supports the EP100 Expansion Battery. By connecting this expansion unit, you can significantly increase the total capacity, allowing for much longer Parking Mode recording times for your dashcam.

The hardwire kit comes with 4 fuse taps of 4 DIFFERENT types. And how many do you need to properly hardwire it to the fuse box? 2 fuse taps of the SAME type. Why ship with only 1 of the 2 fuse taps needed to actually hardwire the battery? I expected the battery to come with all the parts it needs or say you need extra fuse taps, I don't expect to have to purchase something extra to make it work.

So far so good

I got this battery pack to pair with VIOFO A329s. I went with this kit since it supports native parking mode with VIOFO cameras without any spliced cables, and potentially hybrid parking mode in the future with support for battery voltage via bluetooth. The battery is quite large but it snugly fit under the seat of an Integra Type S. According to the app, it takes roughly 40 min to fully charge from 20% which is quite fast. Any regular commute should be plenty enough to last the whole day at the parking lot.

One minor ding for this kit is that it only came with 1 add a fuse cable for low profile mini and standard fuses. Strangely enough, the micro fuse did come with 2 add a fuses so maybe it is an early release snafu. I ended up stripping one of the cables to use my own add a fuse kit since I did not have any spare quick connect add a fuse on hand.

Super long parking mode

I use it with my dashcam and it kept parking mode running for most of the weekend without touching my car battery

Can the EP100 be used with my Powercell8 as an expansion.... havent seen the cellink neo expansion around in a while.... they look to use the same yellow in/out connector
