Superior Low-Light Performance Powered by Sony STARVIS 2

The A329S excels after dark and in challenging lighting thanks to its advanced Sony STARVIS II sensor. Large sensor size and refined image processing mean headlights, streetlights, and deep shadows are rendered with outstanding balance. You get reliable video evidence—even in dim parking garages, rain, or nighttime city driving.

Ultimate Protection: Introducing Hybrid Parking Mode and Low Power Parking Mode

The VIOFO A329S takes parking surveillance to the next level with two advanced options:

  • Hybrid Parking Mode continuously monitors for motion and impacts, automatically recording events in real time. This mode uses intelligent recording strategies to maximize footage capture without missing a moment, making it ideal for protecting your vehicle in busy areas or overnight in unpredictable environments.

  • Low Power Parking Mode conserves your vehicle’s battery by putting the dash cam into a low-consumption standby state. When an impact is detected, the A329S wakes up in about two seconds and records a one-minute clip, ensuring you capture crucial evidence while minimizing battery drain. This mode is perfect for long-term parking or when you want extra confidence that your battery won’t be depleted.

Lightning-Fast Transfers via Upgraded USB 3.0 Port

Transferring high-resolution footage is seamless with the upgraded USB 3.0 port.

Large video files can be moved off your dash cam in seconds, keeping your workflow fast and your data secure.

Massive Storage Support with Up to 4TB SSD Compatibility

Enjoy peace of mind and maximum coverage. The A329S supports external SSDs up to 4TB, meaning you can record for weeks without worrying about overwriting important footage.

Perfect for long road trips, rideshare work, or anyone who demands complete video coverage.

Hands-Free Convenience with Voice Control & Notifications

Stay focused on the road. Voice control lets you give key commands or lock crucial video clips without lifting a finger.

Audio notifications keep you informed of status changes — no guesswork, just confidence.

Reliable Power Supply with Dual Type-C Car Charger

Power and connectivity are handled by the included dual Type-C car charger, ensuring your A329S remains running and ready for use, while also supporting fast charging for your other devices.

I was sold an outdated model and then received a promotional email for the newer model at the same price, which left me feeling misled and frustrated. I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency. I recommend purchasing directly from the manufacturer to avoid this issue.

Must use specific SSD, Limited to 10 min loop

Edit: Viofo support was able to help ultimately. Which SSD is connected made the difference. I tried 2 different SSD's and the camera would freeze when booting with both. Viofo sent a list of specific SSD's that were known to work. I got a Samsung T7 Shield 4TB and it worked. Perhaps this requires an SSD with a very fast read/write speed. I'll update to 4 stars because the sensitivity of which SSD and a limit of 10 min. loop... though that is truly not bad compared to most. I just expected that if I connect a 4TB SSD, I should be able to record entire trips.

The ability to connect an SSD was a huge selling point for this. However, there are 2 issues:
1. There is no option to save all recordings. My SSD is big enough it should be able to save the whole trip. But it limits to loop recording at max 10 min.
2. The camera does not work with the SSD connected. I've had it working with the SSD connected the first time I connected and then the 2nd time, the camera will not boot up. It stays frozen on the splash screen. I drove for more than an hour without it going any further. I've been messaging with support and got it working 1 more time so far and then back to just stopping at the splash screen every time I have the SSD connected. It works fine without the SSD.

I'm still working with support, but am disappointed and losing hope. Even if they can get the camera to work with an SSD connected, a10 min. loop as the best option is still not what I expected for this.
