BlackVue DR590X-2CH Plus Dual Full HD Dashcam

A month ago my wife was in an accident in her car, another driver went through a red and t-boned her Subaru. Police officer took the report and said with conflicting stories from both drivers and no dashcams it would be assessed as her failing to clear the intersection.

The next day I ordered a DR590x-2CH for her new car. I had a DR590-2ch for the last 3 years in my Tacoma and love it, it's been extremely useful and I've provided clips to others when I see accidents. Parking mode is great, I still use a PMP but look at battery packs as the next upgrade.

I installed the new cam and it's already a relief to have it. We are headed out for a two week roadtrip and I'm glad that it's coming with us.

Blackboxmycar is my go to, I recommend them to everyone, and they've helped me with selecting the cam, getting accessories, replacing stickypads, and helping with setup. They reply same day and have helpful answers every time. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

I owned a Blackvue DR550GW-2CH (international model) which served me well for 5 years. My brand new car was hit while it was parked in the winter by another vehicle 6 days off the lot. It was great being able to show the insurance company it was a hit and run.

I am impressed by the form-factor and quality of the blackvue line of products that I purchased 2-channel models for my sisters and nephews you are new car owners.

The DR590W-2CH is a good way to monitor what happens in front of you and behind you. It is easy to install and the wifi feature helps when you need to review footage.

I will continue to support this brand.

I purchased this dash cam for two reasons: One, the manufacturer seemed to be one of the best, Two, I was looking for a dash cam I could log-in remotely to view my car's surroundings live. I was very disappointed because accessing customer service took two days, and nowhere on the website does it say THIS PARTICULAR system does not have remote capabilities. Lastly, connecting via the wifi while SITTING IN THE CAR, is a hit or miss endeavor. Not what I expected. This system should be better than this, and there needs to be a description telling buyers they cannot access the camera remotely.

I'd give this zero stars if I could. If you are looking for a system that you can remotely access live cameras this is NOT the system for you. This camera does not have remote capability, even though the product description states "built-in wifi". Totally misleading. The app is 50/50 as far as connectivity even while standing outside the car in your driveway. My opinion is buy a different manufacturer.

Reliable, but the wifi connection can take some getting used to.

This my 3rd purchase in the last 6 years . This time I went for the 2 Channel version .. and will wire it directly for constant power. I'm always impressed by the picture Quality .
This is the best resource you can have to confirm first hand any accident details .

You never informed me there would be customs charges levied against me by FedEx. Free shipping is supposed to be free. When I balked about this charge and asked BlackboxMyCar to pay these charges, they ghosted me. In other words they refused to make good on these charges. I will NEITHER purchase from BlackboxMyCar again NOR recommend you to others. I have already convinced people in my development who saw me installing units to avoid BlackboxMyCar and find another vendor.

I'm coming from a 970 2 ch, so I knew what I was looking for and what to expect. This model does not disappoint. I was able to turn off the recording lights through the app for a "stealthy approach" and the playback is great. I'm satisfied. Also, Blackboxmycar is now the only site I will use for Dashcam products. Excellent customer service and fast shipping!

I've purchased two Blackvue DR550 2CH from Blackboxmycar many years ago. The Blackvue dash cams are one of the best and have been flawless. I recently replace one with the DR590x 2CH which has great features, clear picture night and day. I had some issues connecting it to the wifi but after talking more than once with customer service sorted it out. Blackboxmycar has excellent customer service. They are prompt and very helpful. Very happy with this Dash Cam. I think the video quality is great, I don't use apps so I don't know how that part is but the quality on the SD card is great!

Easy to install in my 2013 Camry hybrid XLE. Visual clarity is great. Purchased a larger SD card as the included one is not very large.

If you are looking a reliable and on budget dash cam. BlackVue DR590X- 1CH is a good choice. I have used this dash cam for 3-4 years. I recently bought this one for my in-laws and they love it. They are not tech people and installing is simple enough. I ordered on Sunday evening and I receieved from Blackboxmycar mail on Tuesday fyi, I live in Ontario. Good product to have.

I consider this a great entry dash cam for a reasonable price. Basic features all work as expected. If you are going to purchase additional Micro SD cards, you will need to purchase software to partition them to FAT 32. My ONLY disappointment is with the adhesive used to attach the front camera to the windshield. It only lasted a day in the Florida sun.

I purchased the Blackvue DR590X-2CH to replace another that had a problem after several years of use. It’s not 4K like my last dash cam. But the picture quality is still amazing. I had the power wire from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment of my Ram already. So to remove my old dash cam and replace it with this dash cam and new dash cam wiring maybe took 15 minutes tops. Box My Car provided swift service which is important as I live in a high accident city. So I needed my dash cam as quickly as possible. So Black Box My Car came through as expected.
