Parking Mode in Winter Weather - Cellink Battery B

With the Winter quickly approaching, many of our customers are reported reduced parking mode recording time due to the weakened battery power in cold weather. Some users, particularly with compact Japanese vehicles are even reporting that their car can't start after an 8 hour shift at work. Not only does this become a headache for our customers but their batteries suffer greater wear and tear AND their vehicle is not being sufficiently protected in parking mode. For more tips and facts on battery performance in the Winter, check out this helpful guide from Car Battery Chargers Central.

Cellink Winter is Coming

New cars in particular have more electronic draws while the car is parked such as proximity key sensors, so they are more prone to starting issues. Luckily, the Cellink Battery B solves this problem by not only reducing the strain on the car's battery but also providing a useful amount of power for your parking mode enabled dash cam. This offers much better peace of mind than a traditional hardwiring kit such as the Power Magic Pro. As the Cellink sits nestled in the cabin, it typically isn't exposed to quite as low ambient temperatures as an under-hood battery.

Like most batteries though, the Cellink still offers the best performance at higher temperatures than colder temperatures. With cabin temperatures between 0°C - 60°C (32°F - 140°F) here are some estimates of Cellink B recording time on our most popular 2-channel dash cams.

  Recording Time
Thinkware F770 2CH 22 - 24 Hours
Blackvue DR650S-2CH 14-16 Hours
